A FEW OF OUR RECOMMENDATIONS INCLUDE:
GO FLY FISHING
The Snake River is one of the most cherished streams in the world of fly fishing, and we believe no Wyoming adventure is complete without a day spent on the river. Don’t forget your license!

RIDE THE TRAM AT JACKSON HOLE MOUNTAIN RESORT
Ride the aerial tram to the top of the mountain for unparalleled views and great hiking. There is also a well-known waffle hut at the top if you get hungry.
Tram rides are about ~$40 per person and take ~9 minutes to get to the top. Save money by purchasing tickets in advance online. You can also ride down for free if you’re brave enough to hike to the top!
Check the Jackson Hole Daily newspaper for a discount coupon.
GO ON A TRAIL RIDE
The quintessential western activity.

SPRING CREEK RANCH
307.732.8140
This ranch offers beautiful views of the Tetons, the town of Jackson, and surrounding areas of Jackson. The last day of riding is October 19th.

EXPLORE GRAND TETON NATIONAL PARK:
Located just north of Teton Village on the Moose Wilson Road. The park entrance at Moose will always be open. Once there you can drive to various points to see the sites, or if you want to hike see below for some recommendations.

We also recommend stopping by the newly renovated visitor center in Moose! (Please note there is an entrance fee to get into all national parks).
EXPLORE YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK:
Located roughly an hour and a half north of Teton Village, Yellowstone is one of the country’s most visited National Parks that is certainly worth the trip. Due to the high density of people coming in and out of the park every day, we recommend renting a car and getting up there early.

GO HIKING
Explore some of our favorite hikes in the area! Don’t forget that for any hikes in the National Park, you will need to show an ID and a park pass, which you can purchase for $35 at the park entrance (and it is valid for seven days). You will also need to bring bear spray on most hikes in the Jackson area, which you can buy or rent at most outdoor stores.
Taggart and Bradley Lakes
(6 miles, easy)
Beautiful views under the Grand with approachable terrain.
Signal Mountain
(6 miles, easy)
Views of the entire valley. Fun to stop at Signal Mountain Lodge afterwards and enjoy some pizza and a drink!
Wildflower Trail
to the top of the Gondola | (4.2 miles, moderate)
Modest incline that winds throughout the ski resort, hike to the Gondola and ride it back down, or continue on to the top and enjoy a waffle at Corbet’s Cabin and a free ride back down the Tram.
Amphitheater and Surprise Lakes
(10.5 miles, moderate)
Moderately trafficked out-and-back that begins at the Lupine Meadows trailhead with significant elevation gain. Enjoy up-close views of the Tetons.
Teton Valley Trail
(3 miles, easy)
Good for a quick hike! This trail begins at the Granite Canyon trailhead and runs along the valley floor ending in Teton Village. We recommend either getting dropped off at the trailhead or taking two cars.
Phelps Lake Loop
(7 miles, easy)
One of the more popular hikes close to the Village, we recommend getting an early start at parking at the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve to begin the hike.
Death Canyon to Patrol Cabin
(9.1 miles, moderate)
Begin at the Phelps Lake trailhead for sweeping views as you venture back into the Tetons.
String Lake Loop
(4.5 miles, easy)
More of a walk than a hike, String Lake offers some of the most up-close and personal views of the cathedral group of the Tetons without having to work very hard for it!
Granite Canyon
(13 miles, moderate)
If you’re feeling up for more of a challenge, start at the Granite Canyon trailhead and follow the canyon up the backside of the ski resort and end at the top of the mountain.
* * *
The best part - waffles and a free ride down the Tram! We recommend getting dropped off or taking two cars for this hike also, as it ends in a different location than the trailhead.
Jenny Lake and Hidden Falls
(7.9 miles, easy)
Hidden Falls is one of the most popular spots in Grand Teton National Park, and also accessible by ferry. We think there are many other hikes in the valley that are less trafficked and just as beautiful, but if you feel strongly about seeing the falls, we recommend going early and starting at the small parking lot north of the visitor center.
